Tsui Hark's The Blade on youtube!

One of my favorite films, not just Hong Kong movies, is not readily available on dvd. But some kind person put up the whole movie on youtube with English subtitles. Tsui Hark's The Blade is definitely worth 100 minutes of your time.

Trailer for Tsui Hark's Flying Swords Of Dragon Gate.

Here is the trailer for Flying Swords Of Dragon Gate, a 3D film by Tsui Hark and starring Jet Li. It gets the idea of 3D right, you should be throwing stuff at the screen. I saw Immortals in 3D and you would think a movie with a magic bow would fire at least one arrow at the audience.

New Tsui Hark film, trailer, Detective Dee

Tsui Hark was one of my favorite directors. From 1983 to 2002 he made many amazing films, The Blade, The Swordsman series, The Once Upon A Time In China series, Green Snake, Time & Tide, to name a few. He has made some ok movies in the last 5 years but his new film, Detective Dee, looks like a return to form. It stars Andy Lau, and has martial art choreography by Sammo Hung.
